Banana Cleanup and Park Tree Planting

Historic Melrose sincerely thanks all the volunteers for the recent Banana mill site cleanup.  It was a beautiful day on the tranquil acreage that used to be the settlement of Banana, Florida along Mill creek.  Our sincere gratitude to Mark Manning for leading the workday.

For the 20th anniversary of HMI purchasing the three lots in the center of Melrose for Heritage Park, our volunteers and Big Tree Plantation, Inc planted a Live Oak tree.  Save the date for a park picnic on March 20, 2022. Pictured are HMI board members Peter Landauer, Kathi Warren, and Lynn Hughes.
