Happy New Year from Mossy Old Melrose!
We have much to be grateful for over 2024 and are even more excited for 2025!
The first event we are thoroughly looking forward to, is our Annual Meeting on January 26, 2025 at the Homemakers Club. We have invited speaker Dr. Cynthia Patterson from USF in Tampa to tell us the story of the change makers that organized the Melrose Ladies Literary and Debating Society over 100 years ago. Dr. Patterson published "Catching the Spirit: The Melrose Ladies Literary and Debating Society 1890-1899,” in the Fall 2017 issue of the Florida Historical Quarterly, and we can't wait to meet her in person and hear her speak about some Melrose history. We hope to see you there at 2:00 pm.
Something else to be excited about...can you believe it has been just over two years since our last Christmas Home Tour?! Yes friends, and that can only mean one thing; 2025 is time for another one!
