November 2024 - First Friday Art Walk at the Daurer History Center – A Patriotic Celebration!

While it was a slower evening in Melrose, we still enjoyed a fun and meaningful gathering at the latest First Friday Art Walk, held at the Daurer History Center on November 1st. The night featured a patriotic "Stars and Stripes" display in honor of Veterans Day.

If you missed this Art Walk, make sure to join us next month! We’ll be moving next door to the Baldwin Store, a beautifully restored building from the turn of the century here in Melrose. Don't miss the unique opportunity to step inside and view the works of artist Dan Long, showcasing paintings of our local community from years gone by.

Don’t miss the next First Friday Art Walk on December 6, 2024—a perfect opportunity to experience Melrose’s history, art, and community spirit all in one evening!

We've lived her for 40+ years -----though have never looked into the history of the Mizell house. I am a Mizell through my mother's side of the family(Brooksville/Tarpon Springs). My great grandfather, Joshua Mizell, was Bone Mizell's uncle. Any info about the Mizell house----and other Mizell connections in the area would be appreciated. Thanks. Jerry M. Thompson, Bellamy Woods Drive.
